Back to School Night

Meet the Staff
Back to School Night

Back-to-School Night will be held this Thursday. Families are invited to meet their student’s teachers and learn about the curriculum, expectations, and opportunities for the semester ahead.

The evening will begin with the principal’s welcome in the gym at 5:45 p.m. Parents will then follow their student’s schedule from 6:15–7:57 p.m. A taco truck will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m. for families who wish to purchase food.

We suggest you speak with your student and get details on their schedule (which class, which period, what room). You can also access this information on AERIES.

Schedule Error & Change Information

Counseling
Schedule Error & Change Information

Students who have an error in their schedule should go see their counselor during the period impacted by the error. Schedule changes are only made in person with your counselor. Having a free period during the day is not an error.

Examples of errors and schedule changes
The student has the wrong level class for their grade (e.g., the student should be in World Lit but is placed in American Lit).
The student has two classes scheduled during the same period.
The student is missing a core class such as PE, English, social studies, math or science.

Examples of non-errors that will not result in a schedule change
-The student has changed their mind about a class, e.g., “I did not want to be in Drawing, or I would rather be in...”
-Students who have a free period and would like to add an elective.
