Recommended Prerequisites:

  • Completion of Geometry with a C- or better for both semesters

  • Basic Algebra I skills are required with mastery of solving equations, numeracy, exponents and graphing linear equations

 

 

 

Recommended Prerequisites:

  • Completion of Geometry with an A- or better

  • Summer packet to review/refresh Algebra I standards

  • Thorough knowledge of Algebra I is expected

  • Student should enjoy mathematics and desire to be challenged.

  • Quadratic relations and functions

  • Powers and roots

  • Complex numbers

  • Exponents and logarithms

  • Polynomials

  • Sequences and series

  • Matrices

  • Minimal class time spent reviewing Algebra I

  • Linear relations and function

  • Quadratic relations and functions

  • Exponential and logarithmic functions

  • Rational and irrational algebraic functions

  • Higher degree functions

  • Complex numbers – arithmetic and graphing

  • Sequences and series

  • Probability

  • Data analysis

  • Conic sections

  • Matrices

  • Very fast paced course with the first three chapters covered in less than two weeks

  • Sections are covered in one day
