Summer Reading Contest
Every LAHS student has a free subscription to the New York Times (if you didn't know this, check your mvla.net email for an email from NYTimes.com last September). In the summer, they sponsor a summer reading contest inviting teens to read and comment on one article of interest.

With your Los Altos and Mountain View public library eCard numbers, you can check out any of their eBooks and Audiobooks. Use the links below to browse their collections.

SYNC is a program that gives away two complete audiobook downloads per week–a current Young Adult title paired thematically with a Classic or Required Summer Reading title–each week to listeners ages 13+ while SYNC is in session each summer. Visit http://www.audiobookSYNC.com

We want to hear what you think! Whether you're commenting on a book or NYTimes article, send your response to Mr. Jack at gordon.jack@mvla.net and he will post it on our library Instagram page to inform and inspire others.

Anyone who posts 3 times this summer will be invited to our end of summer celebration in August. There will be games, delicious food, and fabulous prizes.
