Pandemic EBT card

Have you all heard of the Pandemic EBT card? P-EBT card - get help buying food while schools are closedThis resource, up to $365 per free and reduced eligible child, should be coming to most families soon if their child receives free or reduced schools meals directly, (i.e. child receives free/reduced school meals without applying via the free and reduced application at school). This benefit is to assist families in providing food while school is closed.

All other families will need to apply (five min quick app in four languages) https://ca.p-ebt.org/ May 22 – June 30th. It does not matter if a family is undocumented, and will not count towards public charge. For families not receiving free and reduced price meals yet, we are recommending they fill out the FRPM Application via their school district ASAP, in order to receive this emergency benefit. This resource is in addition to CalFresh and other benefits.

  • The College Board has canceled the March and May SAT administrations. Impacted students will receive refunds. The June 6, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test has not yet been canceled; the College Board will update its website on decisions related to this date. It will be working on adding more SAT testing dates.

  • ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. All students who had registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days. ACT will update its website as more is known. ACT is also offering free live online test prep support.

AP Tests

  • The Advanced Placement (AP) program is  providing free remote learning resources and is developing new at-home testing options.
    • Traditional face-to-face exam administrations will not take place.
    • Students will take a 45-minute online free-response exam at home.

Some students may want to take the exam sooner rather than later, while the content is still fresh. Other students may want more time to practice.
